FBI Informant Convinced Jeffrey Epstein was Acting as Israeli Spy
According to the informant, referred to as a confidential human source (CHS) in the report, Epstein’s attorney Alan Dershowitz told then-US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Alex Acosta that Epstein “belonged to both U.S. and allied intelligence services.” The CHS reportedly monitored phone calls between Dershowitz and Epstein, taking notes that suggested Mossad would then contact Dershowitz for debriefing.
The document notes Epstein’s connections to former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, suggesting he “trained as a spy under him.” The informant concluded that Epstein was a “co-opted Mossad agent” amid regional rivalries involving Israel. It also mentions that Barak “believed Netanyahu was a criminal.”
The CHS further stated that Dershowitz once claimed that if he were younger, he “would be holding a stun gun as an Israeli Intelligence (Mossad) agent,” leading the informant to believe Dershowitz was co-opted by Mossad and aligned with their mission.
This release comes alongside documents that mention numerous high-profile figures connected to Epstein’s network, including Dershowitz and other members of the political and financial elite. Epstein was found dead in his New York City jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. In 2008, he pleaded guilty in Florida to procuring a minor for prostitution, a conviction widely criticized as a “sweetheart deal” approved by Acosta.
Victims have alleged that Epstein ran a vast sex trafficking network used by wealthy and influential figures, drawing renewed scrutiny as these documents become public.
